The directors of the foundation feel very strongly that the overhead cost for the foundation should be kept to a minimum. By keeping overhead to a minimum the foundation is able to direct nearly all contributions to the intended projects. The overhead expenses for the foundation amount to only about 1.0 to 2.5 percent. This means that 97.5 to 99.0 cents of every dollar can go to fund projects the foundation considers worthy. To help keep expenses down the foundation requires that individuals representing the foundation and making an "in country" visit pay for their own transportation and living expenses.
